About the Researchers


Dr. Judith Andersen

Professor Andersen is a health psychologist who specializes in the psychophysiology of stress and stress-related mental and physical health issues. She has more than a decade of experience working with populations exposed to severe and chronic stress, including combat soldiers and police.

Dr. Joseph Arpaia

Dr. Arpaia, received his B.S in Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology and his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine. His medical speciality is psychiatry and he has maintained a private practice for over 20 years in Eugene, OR. Dr. Arpaia’s clinical and research speciality is focused on helping people deal more effectively with stress and stress-related conditions.
